Armen’s ability to merge technology with his classical art training informs his highly organic design vision. World travel and living in many corners of America, has allowed him to absorb their unique visual textures, giving Armen an advantage in the global marketplace. Diverse clients from digital media and the classic art fields utilize his expertise and provide Armen the oxygen that propels his design solutions.

Among his noteworthy accomplishments are the official 1980 Boston Marathon poster, and children’s book A Drop of Honey, published by Simon and Schuster. As staff designer at McGraw-Hill, Armen had the privilege of designing Nobel Prize winner Dr. Leland Hartwell’s first edition of Genetics: from Genes to Genomes. Designed the book cover for Human Sexuality by Dr. Ruth Westheimer for Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. He illustrated and designed the book cover Puttering About in a Small Land by one of Science-Fictions greatest authors Phillip K. Dick.

Armen’s publishing skills include all facets of design and production, from designer to art director. Fine art training led him naturally into the illustration field specializing in editorial assignments. He designs and illustrates for all divisions of the publishing industry. Wearing many hats in his New York City studio, he also maintains the duties of Creative Director for Montana based Christopher Matthews Publishing managing book cover design, ebook conversions, and web design.
